Abstract

This project is to investigate the effect of different resistivity of sediment which is an important aspect in SeaBed Logging (SBL). The SBL is an application of the Marine Controlled Source Electromagnetic (CSEM). Knowing the importance of increasing the accuracy of hydrocarbon detection activity, the CSEM method has been used for past seven years. SBL seems to have come up to expectations achieving what was hoped for but thought by many to be good to be true.
