Abstract
Air Pollution is one the environmental risk that gives high impact to human health. Due to that concern, in 1989 Malaysia has formulated a guideline namely Malaysian Ambient Air Quality Guidelines (MAAQG) which contain a concentration limit for major pollutants such as ozone, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulphuric dioxide, particulate matter, total suspended solid and lead at their average time. These guidelines have been set to maintain the air quality and protect the public health. However, there is no revision has been made so far on this guidelines since 1989 until now.This research is intended to revisit the concentrations limit in MAAQG correspond to ozone, nitrogen dioxide, particular matter (PM10) and sulphur dioxide to determine whether is it important or require to have a new guidelines and validity of existing concentration limit.
