Abstract

The project, Development of a Controller for a Partial Stroke Valve Testing is a collaboration between Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP) and PETRONAS Group Technology Solutions (PGTS). This report presents the progress and the future development of the work. The objective is to develop a controller to execute various test sequences for a Partial Stroke Valve Testing and Full Stroke Valve Testing in repetitive modes, as required in the testing requirements. Specifically, the PLC is to provide the
signal for a Full Stroke Testing (FST) execution, while the vendor's software is programmed to perform Partial Stroke Testing (PST).
