Abstract

This report basically discussed on the progress made in the Final Year Project titled "Modeling, simulation and optimal design of a Generator for Tidal Wave Energy". The significant focus on this project is to model and simulate the design of a permanent magnet linear generator. Then an optimization technique is applied to optimize the parameters of the permanent magnet linear generator that is used to extract energy from tidal waves. In this project, the author needs to study the modeling of linear generator using CATIA and then simulate it using ANSYS software.
