Abstract

Safety is a critical issue across global construction industries. It is a major concern in the
construction industry because fatalities and injuries from construction work are increasing
rapidly and bring great losses to individuals and organizations. More than one third of all US
workplace fatalities occur in the construction industry. That equates to approximately five
construction worker deaths every working day. Therefore, safety precaution is changing the
way safety can be approached. Most of the construction companies around the world are
implementing safety, health, and environmental management systems to reduce injuries,
eliminate illness, and to provide a safe work environment in their construction site. Moreover,
safety is a philosophy that discourages work practises that place individuals at risk of injury.
