Abstract

The design of a concurrent dual-band/tri-band LNA targeted for 2.4, 5.2-GHz/ 1.8, 2.4, 5.2-GHz wireless applications using 0.13-�m CMOS process is presented in this thesis. To attain the power-constrained simultaneous noise and input matching (PCSNIM) at 2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz, cascode common source inductive degeneration topology is adopted. Existing concurrent LNAs exhibit an unbalanced gain with the difference of more than � 2.0 dB and an unidentical noise figure with the difference of more than � 0.3 dB at the frequencies of interest.
