Abstract
Medication non-adherence refers to the patients routinely unable or failing to take the medication according to the prescription given by respective healthcare provider. According to the Annals of Internal Medicine United States of America estimates that lack of medication adherence caused nearly about 125,000 deaths ,10 percent of patient was hospitalized and cost about $100-$300 each year in United States. Thus, the proposed system is designed to increase the medication adherence and to help the patient to take the required medication in right proportion, duration and time. The system is powered with IoT technology and low power embedded computing which allow the patient to connect the system to the cloud server and provide a rapid and organized form of data gathering, analysing, manipulating a customized report which can increase medication adherence behaviour.
