Abstract

IoT monitoring system for agricultural activity was design and implemented to track surrounding temperature, soil humidity and water level in a tank. These three components were monitored because of these components are the main factor that will affect the plant growth and productivity. Since, the farmer are not well known whether the plant is in optimum surrounding for their plant growth and productivity, this project will assist them in monitoring all three factors that able to improve their plant growth. Besides, this project was made available for the farmer to access the data as long farmer has device with internet connection. The project aims to evaluate the efficiency of the monitoring system using LoRaWAN and to measure connectivity in terms of signal intensity and network coverage by applying RSSI-based localization approach around UTP campus and Bandar
Universiti Seri Iskandar. IoT-based data is transmitted to the other end by the LoRa transceiver/end nodes and linked to the PC that serves as the access control station for the user. Each of the Lora nodes is accommodated by the LoRa shield , which is connected to the Arduino Mega and serves as the controller of the system. The microcontroller will transmit data from one node to another node through LoRa and the data received at the receiver-end will be displayed through ThingSpeak.
This IoT-based LoRaWAN-enabled palm oil monitoring system signal assessment project is being carried out to demonstrate the transmission's reliability, as thorough
research has been carried out to configure the model and method used to achieve the project's goals.
