Abstract
This thesis presents the detailed facies analyses of the Balingian, Begrih and Liang
Formations exposed along the Mukah-Selangau road, Sarawak, East Malaysia. These
Miocene-Pliestocene formations unconformabfy overlie the Belaga Formation
(Cretaceous-Eocene). The sedimentological, palynological and micropaleontological
data were analysed and integrated for the detail study of the exposed succession.
