Abstract

Mobile application development is one of the fastest emerging in modern
digital technology, where agriculture industries are not exception. Current existing
business model which business-to business (B2B) for farmers to sell their agriculture
products are seems limited only to middlemen such retailers. With the breakout of
pandemic COVID-19 and lockdown order for all sectors in our country, these had
directly cut the tied between farmers and middlemen. As farmers had no direct linkage
on business-to-consumer (B2C) relation with end-consumers, dumping excess
agriculture products is the only option without need to adhere with the additional costs.
In this project document, the author will further explain the impact of ecommerce mobile application technology in agriculture industry, how the business-toconsumer (B2C) model will able to be a long-term solution to minimize the dumping
excess products action, also shows the comparison between the existing e-commerce
mobile apps, and together with the ability and challenges in implementing the mobile
application in enhancing sales for farmers.
