Abstract

Nowadays, food social recommender systems have become a famous system and
a new research due to their relevance in healthy life. Study on food domain is
focusing on proper food for students based on their preferences and health
problems. These food menu planning & recommendation systems are providing
functionalities to track on food nutrition and to persuade students to change
students eating behaviour. Also, these system functionalities are very useful in the
food domain, especially on campus setting when there needs a healthy food to
maintain their well-being and stay focus on studies. Such scenarios develop food
social recommender systems facing many challenges since preference have to be
taken. This paper presents an overview of recommendation for students in the
healthy food domain using prototype method. In addition, it is challenging in
developing social food recommender system in order to follow the current needs
and future needs.
