We would like to introduce you, the new knowledge repository product called UTPedia. The UTP Electronic and Digital Intellectual Asset. It stores digitized version of thesis, dissertation, final year project reports and past year examination questions.

Browse content of UTPedia using Year, Subject, Department and Author and Search for required document using Searching facilities included in UTPedia. UTPedia with full text are accessible for all registered users, whereas only the physical information and metadata can be retrieved by public users. UTPedia collaborating and connecting peoples with university’s intellectual works from anywhere.

UTPedia : User's Guide (Thesis and Final Year Project)



Step 1st: Request the username and password from Knowledge Management Unit (KMU) staff via e-mail or directly come to the office. Make sure you are a part of UTP members because the policies of UTP are not allowed the outsider to easily retrieve the sources produce by UTP ourselves.


Step 2nd:Login using the default username and password that already given by the KMU staff at http://utpedia.utp.edu.my/

Step 3rd: The users have many options to search the thesis or FYP whether by year, subject, academic department or by author. Another way in searching process is by using the advanced search.

Step 4th: Click to the title that user wanted to view by referring the year and title that appears.

Step 5th: When the user clicking the title, it will display the other pages interface that shows the details or metadata of the thesis or FYP. It is also included the abstract of thesis or FYP. The user can refer the abstract to know the overview of the content before downloading the file.

Step 6th: The users are allowed to download or view the content of thesis and FYP.
