Abstract

Harmonic resonance had been regarded as one of the major problem in power quality
issues. Numerous techniques had been deployed to reduce the effects of harmonic
resonance in power system network. Of course installing harmonic filters is one of the
techniques to mitigate the effect of harmonics but the concern in identifying the
participating buses or network components that actually causing the harmonic resonance
is not easy. Harmonic resonance mode analysis had been introduced to counter this
arising issue.
