Abstract

The study of free falling particle in viscous medium has been done by many researches many years ago. This report aims to refer to all the previous studies conducted to study the motion of particle in viscous medium and use that knowledge and data to model and simulate that situation using computational fluid dynamic software. There are many ways in which the knowledge of the motion of free falling particle is very important.
This is because the study of free falling particle in viscous medium is very crucial in our daily life. The understanding of motion of free falling particles can be utilized in almost all aspects of our life. The usage of it will be explained in the introduction part. Matrix Laboratory or Matlab is used to solve, model and simulate the motion of particle based on already proven mathematical modelling and numerical methods. It has a vast application in our daily life. For example, mathematical computation or calculator, development of algorithmic equations, simulation, construction of virtual models and prototyping, analysis of data, exploration and visualization, visualization of graphics in the area of scientific and engineering aspects and also lastly the applications development such as the Graphical User Interface building. This report will also discuss the difficulty of choosing the appropriate software to model and simulate the free falling particle in viscous medium.
