Abstract

Drive-thru supermarket is a revolution in normal lifestyle which the main idea is to negate from the conventional shopping style with a much better and less-hassle way of shopping. Conventional shopping style cause hardships to some people as it causes customers to face crowds, long queue at the payment counter, kids throwing tantrums, full parking space and few supermarkets in Malaysia has specific rate of parking fees. The drive-thru supermarket concept design will have multiple stations that includes a linear motion system and carrier mechanism that are designed and built for this project. This system will be equipped with a selection button connected to a microcontroller in each station that is designed as an input signal for the motor to move the shelves vertically. The prototype built includes the technical objectives and supermarket layout if it were to be implemented to offer a much convenient and less-hassle way of grocery shopping.
