Abstract

Living in the 21st century, technology has developed vastly and rapidly alongside with
our development. To sum up, we can say that everything that we are living with
depends on electricity. Electricity is much related to the protection and fault. Fault is
an abnormal condition that is really synonym in power system that has high possibility
to occur. Therefore, protections such as Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB), Residual
Current Device (RCD), relays and fuses are really important in order to protect the
electrical equipment from damage. In this world, controlling and monitoring methods
using microcontroller system and android programming are already existed. A signal
from distribution box system will be sent to the monitoring system for them to be
analyzed for the cause of the fault in order to isolate the particular equipment from
without disrupting other appliances. For the android device, C++ language is used in
Arduino software and to create the Graphical User Interface (GUI).
