Abstract
Bitumen modification is adequate development to exhibits better performance
characteristics than conventional binder. The construction of road using conventional
bitumen in the mixture has various problems to be addressed such as short-term
durability in lifespan to the pavement resulted from heavy traffic loading on the road
surface. Rutting is one of the primary roads of failure where wheel path appeared on
the pavement surface. Impressed by this matter, bitumen has undergone modification
to enhance its properties so that pavement can be sustained for a certain time. Natural
rubber cuplump is one type of natural rubber polymer.
