Abstract

Transportation facility is one of the most important infrastructures in a country. Its performance should be monitored and evaluated regularly to understand whether it has achieved its targets and potential in terms of sustainability and economic performance. Despite its importance, there are not many researches that are done specifically to develop a performance evaluation model for transportation facilities in Malaysia. Ipoh Train Station is located in Ipoh, a tourism area with increasing revenue from tourism industry. However, the train station has failed to capitalize on the opportunity. Although its services have been upgraded, it still has not achieved its full potential, government plans to redevelop the train station to improve its performance and transform it into a transportation hub that connects everyone.
