Abstract

Changes of medium from isotropic medium into anisotropic medium could be
caused by many things and one of the reasons is the fractures or cracks existence in
the medium/reservoir. The existence of cracks or fractures in a medium or reservoir
will lead the physical properties changing of the medium so that the wave propagation
in isotropic medium will be different with wave propagation in anisotropic medium.
The difference of wave propagation in a medium or reservoir is known by seismic
anisotropy phenomena.
