Abstract

Though being popular among university students. the application of technology of
Web 2.0 socialized media tools for educational interest is still in the initial phase of
implementation and integration for teaching and learning. The application of this
technology in teaching and learning process. principally. will never reach its optimal
potential and support without any acceptance and appreciation from students and
lecturers on it. This study in turn is aimed to investigate the intention and use of Web
2.0 applications among university students as an aid for their daily learning practices.
To investigate and identify the factors related to the intention and use of Web 2.0 tools
in learning by university students, a theoretical framework was used based on
technology acceptance theory. The acceptance of Web 2.0 tools in teaching and
learning process is deemed crucial for the successful employment of Web 2.0
technology based learning systems in a university.
