Abstract

Establishment of biomass supply chain management is a beginning stage for
the production of bio-energy especially in proposing the potential processing plant
location. The related biomass is produced from the agriculture sector with an
abundance amount. In Malaysia, biomass supply is obtained mainly from oil palm
plantation which governed under Federal Land Development Authority (FELDA).
Biomass supply chain involves few element which is collection, storage,
transportation, pretreatment and energy conversion. Widely scattered geographical
distribution and low density of biomass contributes huge constraints to the problem
especially in competing with other energy sources.
