Abstract

The main objective of this project was to clarify on the Amateur Radio Application,
mainly focus on the transmitter side. Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) has always been the main
concern in Radio Communication; it is required to have a high SNR margin but compromisation
on the cost of fabrication and vice versa. Optimization of components will be done in this project
in highlight that the final product to have an optimum or balance in terms of cost of production,
SNR margins and variety of input signal. For this project, it is focus on the up-conversion of the
frequency mixer as well as the Class C amplifier. Radio communication transmitter works by
mixing a Radio Frequency (RF) with a Carrier Frequency and the resulting signal of the mixing
process is a signal that is twice the bandwidth than its original input signal. The simulation for
this project will show the components that will be used later in circuit fabrication therefore;
acknowledgement regarding the cost of production and the result will display the Noise and
Signal configuration and from the information obtained shall be calculated for the SNR margin.
