Abstract

The primary objective of the GAS TURBINE AR project is to create an Augmented Reality (AR) smartphone application. This application will allow users to acquire knowledge regarding the fundamental components of gas turbines as well as the operation of gas turbines. There is evidence to suggest that incorporating augmented reality (AR) into the classroom setting can significantly boost the effectiveness of educational endeavors. This is accomplished, in part, by facilitating enhanced subject comprehension via AR visualization, and in part, by motivating users to learn by immersing them in higher levels of participation while they are being taught.
