Abstract

Recent industrial trends encourage administration to update and utilize better substitute to existing practices. These alternatives reduce overall production and operational cost. In Malaysia, the agriculture, and the oil and gas industries have
the opportunity to develop Pectic Polysaccharides (Pectin) extracted from organic waste for various purposes. As a green alternative, it can remedy oil and gas issue specifically gas hydrate implementation cost and environmental issues while
generating revenue for the agriculture companies and reduced their generated waste. Therefore, investigation and an evaluation of pectin was done based on previously developed methodology. The methodology used High Pressure Micro Differential Scanning Calorimeter (HP-μDSC) device to detect hydrate formation in two experimental conditions: constant cooling – isobaric, and isothermal –
isobaric condition. Each condition has different monitored parameter, hydrat formation temperature and induction time for ramping method and isothermal method, respectively.
