Abstract

Investigating sequences stratigraphic and environmental depositions geometries of Inas and Melor fields within the Malay Basin are essential for future hydrocarbons
explorations. The study’s objective includes establishing a consecutive approaches to classifying the targeted stratigraphic intervals, geomorphological elements, and their
associated facies distributions by visualizing the Miocene - Quaternary deposits through interpreting and correlating well logs and 3-D seismic data. This research has adopted integrated and comprehensive methods for investigating the seismic sequence stratigraphy, facies distributions, and geomorphological geometries of the Miocene - Quaternary deposits of the studied area. The adopted method utilized synthetic seismograms, well ties, seismic attributes, well correlation, neural network techniques, structural & facies modeling, and geomorphological concepts to execute the targeted objectives. Thus, integrating the seismic and well log analysis outcomes provided comprehensive and adequate visualization of the subsurface deposit prospects.
