Abstract

The synergistic effects of bentonite clay and sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) on carbon dioxide (CO2) hydrate formation kinetics and gas uptake were examined. Experiments on CO2 hydrate formation have been conducted in a high-pressure reactor with 0.5wt% bentonite clay suspensions in 3.3wt% NaCl brine.
