Abstract

Hydrogen (H2) is considered a highly promising energy carrier for the future through Proton Exchange Membrane Water Electrolysis (PEMWE). However, the expensive and temperature-limited Nafion™ membrane inspired an alternative sulfonated polyether ether ketone (SPEEK) membrane incorporated with an ionic liquid (IL) called 3-triethylammonium propane sulfonic acid methanesulfonate (TEA-PS.MeSO3) to improve the proton conductivity of SPEEK membrane.
