Abstract

Inherently Safer Design (ISD) has emerged as a proactive and holistic approach to process safety and risk management, aiming to prevent or minimize hazards at their source rather than relying solely on mitigative measures. The concept of ISD revolves around the early integration of safety considerations during the design phase of industrial processes, products, and systems.
