Abstract

Hydroformylation of propylene process which is also known as oxo synthesis process is the reaction of propylene with mixture of carbon monoxide and hydrogen in presence of catalyst to produce n-butyraldehyde and iso-butyraldehyde. N-butyraldehyde is expected to be more valuable compared to iso-butyraldehyde due to its higher industrial demand in market.
