Abstract

Methane is known as the most important element of natural gas since it contributes up to 90% of the overall natural gas composition. This raw natural gas also contains impurities such as carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulphide, water vapour, and nitrogen. As for the carbon dioxide (CO2), it can cause many operational issues include gas hydrate formation, pipeline corrosion, and gas heating value reduction.
