Abstract

Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) is widely used and is in constant demand, as it has various uses. The LPG, however, is a highly flammable and explosive gas; hence, the process safety of the offshore platforms is a critical issue nowadays. Safety devices, such as gas detectors are widely used in the industry to mitigate the risk of explosion or fire of the LPG.
