Abstract

This final year project is present the life cycle assessment of three methods in producing triacetin from glycerol, namely, esterification, acetylation and 2-step method where combining esterification and acetylation. The objectives of this project are to design the life cycle inventory (LCI) data for the triacetin production process based on esterification, acetylation, and the 2-step method.
