Abstract

The aim of this project is to design a charger for portable electronics devices by utilizing the solar energy as the source. The solar energy have been choose as the source of the energy because it availability characteristics. The challenge with the solar energy is that the transient nature of the solar energy, where the solar energy intensity that we can get is not stable from time to time because of several factor such as location, solar radiation path, meteorological condition and the sun trajectory. The charger advantage is it can increase the mobility of the electronics devices. It means that electronics devices be more flexible in term of their charging process. The devices can be charge anywhere as long the sun is out there. In this report, the processes of developing the prototype will be discuss and explain. After the prototype has been produce, it will undergo several testing to ensure the product working properly. The fabrication and testing of the universal portable solar battery charger prototype have been successfully done.
