Abstract

This report basically discusses the progress on research done and basic
understanding of the chosen topic, which is Document Tracking using Radio
Frequency Identification (RFID) Technology. The objective of the project is to
enable a break-through revolution in tracking documents using RFID. Document
tracking becomes critical as to ensure proper knowledge management in an
organization. Properly tracked documents provide cost savings in terms of reduced
effort to locate a document, redo or rewrite a document and also prevent lost
documents. RFID is the right technology of choice to implement document tracking.
Equipments that are needed to achieve the objective of this project are RFID tags,
RFID readers, RFID antennas and document tracking software.
