Abstract

The project presents the study to develop the correlations between chilled water and electrical power production to the activities in Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) based on the collected data of chilled water, steam production and electricity production from 2013 to 2015. Since UTP organizes numerous number of events which requires high amount of chilled water and electricity utilization, the plant operator need to know of such requirement to ensure the gas district cooling (GDC) plant operation could supply enough chilled water and electrical power demand by the campus. By using correlations between chilled water and electrical power production to the UTP’s demands and in-plant use, the operator can predict the requirement and adjust the plan operation accordingly. The forecasting model of chilled water and electricity production were developed by using the Artificial Neural Network (ANN).
