Abstract

This paper reports on the results of experimental studies on the integrity of the intumescent bonding to the steel substrate which is focusing on the adhesive bonding. The objectives of this project are to investigate the adhesive bonding between intumescent coating and steel structures with respect to its physical and mechanical properties before fire exposure and to determine the quality or integrity between the intumescent coating and steel substrate.
