Abstract

Engineered cementitious composites (ECC) is a class of high-performance fiber-reinforced cementitious composites (HPFRCC) designed based on principles of micromechanics to exhibit strain-hardening and multiple cracking behaviors. To ensure proper interactions of constituent materials of an ECC, a coarse aggregate is wholly replaced by fine aggregates and high volumes of cementitious materials.
