Abstract

For every Muslim, studying the Quran is mandatory because there is a code of
morality for every sector of life in the Quran. Compared to blind learners, however,
Quran education among deaf learners is far behind. They are incapable of hearing
and educators have difficulty teaching deaf learners. Faqih is an innovative
approach to teaching Arabic to hearing impaired kids. This method helps teachers
teach deaf learners by using amount and color to recite the Quran in a more practical
manner. However, when they must pay attention to the same entity every day, some
kids got bored. This research intended a model composed of interactive application
specifications and architecture that can be used to create a mobile device
application. The model was validated by the creation of prototypes. The outcome
demonstrates that the prototype can be developed using the model produced. Many
mobile device applications are accessible to assist Quran learners with iPhone apps
such as "Learn to Recite Quran" and "Learn to Read Quran." Some apps also help
users improve the tajwid while reciting the Quran and some of them can be
downloaded for free. To the best of our understanding, however, no research has
been conducted to design any learning activities for deaf communities with respect
to Quran reading. The only application developed that employ Faqih method is iFaqih [1]. This interactive application has been created to know how Quran can be
recited. Earlier research demonstrates that learning platform is an instrument that
can motivate deaf people to learn in a happy and stress-free way. Wherever and
whenever they believe they want to study, they can learn. In this case, Quran
learning will make the deaf communities feel more comfortable because they can
understand but at the same time, they are learning the word. Besides, when they are
rewarded based on the correct response, they are pleased.
