Abstract
Cement can be replaced with other raw materials which was by-products from other sources such as fly ash to reduce the carbon dioxide emission which can triggered a lot of environmental pollution problems. Alkaline activators such as the alkaline solution from the combination between the sodium hydroxide and sodium silicates were used to bind the fly ash and aggregates together to achieve an environmentally friendly concrete with better structural performance than OPC.
Fibre reinforcement in a concrete able to enhance its other properties such as ductility of a concrete instead of just have a high compressive strength concrete. This type of concrete was known as high performance concrete, HPC as this type of concrete can be used for fire resistance which allow people to have more time to escape from the building since this type of concrete still able to be resist loading with strain hardening although it was achieved it peak loading.
