Abstract

Hot and humid weather conditions of the tropical region have adversely affected the
comfort of the people living in these areas. It encourages the use of Air Conditioning
(AC) systems to get comfort. But people are still relying on conventional Vapor
Compression (VC) systems, whereas these systems are not only high energy
consuming but also causing environmental degradation. To overcome these problems,
a new AC technology based on liquid desiccant dehumidification is proposed in this
work.
