Abstract
The advantages of healthcare information technology (HIT) usage are well
documented; even then, the adoption rate of HIT by Malaysian's small and medium
enterprise (SME) private healthcare are quite low compared with other SMEs type of
industry. Evidence exists that user acceptance is very important for successful
technology adoption and implementation. However, very limited study exists which
investigate Health Information Technology (HIT) adoption, particularly for SME
private healthcare or clinics in Malaysia.
