Abstract
Democracy plays a vital part in the human experience, especially when it comes to
selecting our leader. However the process is long and arduous as time consuming due to
logistical purposes. To create an Online Voting System, there are so many systems that have
been created and developed to virtualized democracy, but there was a lack of security in those
said systems. Therefore, the proposed system will improve the drawbacks that were mentioned
previously and enhance the system as a whole. The testing of the system is conducted by both
user independent and user dependent datasets. The method of research for this project would be
to understand the requirements from possible users, through surveys and to develop a prototype
incrementally as well as tackling the drawbacks mentioned earlier. In conclusion, the Online
Voting System is an essential tool for all people, and in order to create one that is better than the
ones that were previously researched upon, security should be taken into consideration in the
improved prototype, to cater for students in the 21st
century.
