Abstract

Nutrition plays a significant and vital role in the development of children’s physical
and mental growth. Therefore, a balanced and nutritious diet that provides all the
nutrients are needed to help support the development of these young children.
Accordingly, there are many health-related applications out there that have been
developed by developers. However, there are some improvements that are still needed
to make the medical services sturdy. This paper introduces a project research that
aims to help parents in using a user-friendly one-stop centre mobile application that
reserved for children’s nutritional development. As the use of smartphone and internet
are widening nowadays and everything can be done online, this application also serves
to ease parents to track and monitor their children’s Body Mass Index (BMI) and Basal
Metabolic Rate (BMR) It uses the BMI percentile method where it is highly
recommended by paediatricians around the world. It is hoped that the use of this
application can facilitate parents in monitoring the BMI status and BMR calories of
their children and can also make them be responsible parents.
