Abstract
Back before technology evolves, most residential areas do not have any security
system especially authorization identification and verification system in residential areas.
As time passes by, the usage of access card grew in gated communities to check the
authorization of people coming in. However, the security system used by most residential
areas currently is less efficient which leads to a less secured environment for the residents
as unauthorized access to the residential areas could happen. The development of
authorization identification and verification system that includes automatic license plate
recognition and facial recognition along with access card and password will become
remarkable for the enhancement of security system in residential areas. The goal of
pursuing this project is to design an efficient authorization identification and verification
system in order to increase the security in residential areas, to prevent unauthorized access
and prevent crimes from happening. This is to ensure a peaceful and safe environment for
the residents. The system is implemented at the entrance of residential areas especially for
gated communities. In conclusion, the development of the security system improves the
current existing system and assists human work to become easier as well as less time consuming.
