Abstract

Preserving airport pavement means guaranteeing the safety operation of the aircraft
movements. There are four aspects that may cause the progressively pavement
deterioration. Those are the aircraft that is in the form of traffic, the construction design
and process, the selected material, and management in conducting regular maintenance. A
small branch of the traffic aspect that is the effect of jet engine exhaust on the airport
pavement surface has not been available publicly.
