Abstract
The number of children who have died from heatstroke as a result of being left
in a car is alarming. Heatstroke has claimed the lives of approximately 618 children in
the United States of America (USA) alone since 1998. Due to that, this Forget Me Not
project is being carried out by doing research on previous child detection devices to
choose the most suitable sensors such as camera to apply deep learning machine
through Teachable Machine software, build a working model using the chosen sensors
and lastly to assess the prototype's operation and features in real life situation. Forget
Me Not is a children detection in vehicle and warning system by using ESP 32 as the
microcontroller. It is an integrated devices that sends alarms to the parents or guardians
in the event that a child is left out unintentionally inside the car in a period of time.
This device consists of an integration between a sensor and Wi-Fi module as the
communication medium to alert the parents about the presence of their children inside
the automobiles.
