Abstract
Work-family conflict is increasing among female teachers. The lack of balance between work and family responsibilities to meet the needs of these two domains ultimately lead to work-family conflict. The conflict between the family and professional demands also leads to a lower level of intrinsic motivation and job satisfaction among female teachers. This study aims to examine the effect of role overload, role conflict, family involvement, and spouse support on the level of intrinsic motivation and job satisfaction using the mediating effect of work-family conflict. Data was collected from 298 married female secondary schools teachers in Perak, Malaysia. Data were statistically analysed in the statistical package for social science (SPSS) for the preliminary analysis of the study and structural equation modeling (SEM) using SmartPLS software as the main statistical technique.
