Abstract

This study addresses the characteristics of flow boiling heat transfer in straight pipe with metal foam. A new concept of metal foam heat exchanger has been identified where a compact heat exchanger with a micro-cellular structure medium to reduce volume and mass while increasing the thermal efficiency.
