Abstract
In comparison to traditional desalination methods, hydrate-based desalination has a significant potential for water recovery. However, the slow hydrate kinetics pose a significant barrier to its applicability, necessitating the use of additives (kinetic promoters) to accelerate the hydrate formation kinetics.
