Abstract

The crude distillation unit (CDU) is the essential first step in oil refining, separating crude oil into various fractions. The vacuum distillation unit (VDU) further processes heavier fractions that are too heavy for atmospheric distillation, using reduced pressure to prevent cracking and produce valuable products.
